The Start of Something New

So, here it is...2009. There is so much unknown about what will happen this year. How will the new President change the economy? Will gas prices stay low? Will Tennessee have a good football season?! Haha...that is one of my top questions of course. There is so many NEW things that 2009 brings with it, particularly for me individually. The biggest thing is that I am getting married. I am really excited about beginning my life as a wife, but I am also cherishing the remaining months at home with my family. I will not be far from them when I move out, but I will still miss them. Moving to a different town is also a big change for me. I have lived in my current city for a long time...I don't remember my old one because I was 3 when we moved. I am looking forward to being able to live in a house, rather than an apartment. However, I am not thrilled that the house is in the country. I am so used (and spoiled to the fact, I might add) to being able to go to the grocery store and it not be a big deal. When I move, though, it will take 20 minutes to get to a store here. There are some stores in the area, but they are kinda nasty on the inside. Anyhow, I wanted to put my resolutions on here for you guys to hold me accountable. I actually don't have as many this year...maybe I will have a greater chance of keeping them!!
  1. Grow in my relationship with God. (pray over everything, read (and think about what I read) the Bible, live in a way that pleases Him)
  2. Get in better physical shape. (exercise more, eat at least 2 fruits or veggies a day, be smart about what I eat)
  3. Take control of my spending.
  4. Be a better person in general.
So that's it. I am signing up at the gym Monday, so I should be working out more. That part is easy...its watching what I eat and the spending that is the hard part. I am going to pray over all of these during my quiet time tonite, so they will be out of my hands!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
